Builder codes on Hyperliquid
The b and f fields, the approval and the claim.
Hyperliquid lets any frontend attach a builder code to an order. It has two fields: b, the builder address, and f, the fee in tenths of a basis point.
The approval
A trader approves a max builder fee for an address once, from their main wallet. After that, any order carrying that b can charge up to that fee. Perps cap at 0.1%.
The 100 USDC floor
A builder address needs at least 100 USDC in perps account value before Hyperliquid accepts orders that name it. Sprig activates each app’s address with 1 USDC and tops it to the floor out of the listing.
The claim
Fees accrue to the builder address on Hyperliquid. Every Monday the keeper claims them, so the split works off real, settled numbers.
